1. Who we are
Equity Match ("we", "us") is a lead generation and matching service operated by 9338-1556 Québec inc., a Quebec corporation based in Sainte-Adèle, Quebec. We are not a lender or a mortgage broker, and we do not make loans or credit decisions.
2. What we collect
Information you enter in the form. For example your name, email address, phone number, address, and details about your home, mortgage, income and what you would like to do. The form on our pages is provided and operated by our partner LeadScout (9480-6353 Québec inc.), and your answers are transmitted to it directly.
Technical information. Such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the ad or link that brought you to us (campaign parameters) and cookie identifiers. Advertising cookies are only used as described in section 6.
3. Why we use it
- To connect you with a lender or mortgage professional who can answer your request.
- So that they can contact you by phone, text message or email about your request.
- To verify your phone number and prevent fraudulent or duplicate requests.
- To measure and improve our advertising and our pages.
- To meet our legal obligations.
4. Your consent
By submitting the form, you consent to the collection of your information and to its communication to LeadScout and to the lenders or mortgage professionals in its network, for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8). Withdrawing consent does not affect communications already made.
5. Who receives your information
- LeadScout (9480-6353 Québec inc.), which operates the form and transmits your request to lenders, mortgage brokers or other financial service providers in its network. Their use of your information is also governed by their own privacy policies.
- Service providers that help us run this site, such as our website host (HighLevel / LeadConnector) and, only if you allow advertising cookies, Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ads.
We are compensated by our partners for the requests we refer to them. We do not otherwise sell, rent or trade your personal information.
6. Cookies and advertising
We use a small cookie to remember your choice and, with your permission, the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our ads. On our French-language pages (intended for Quebec residents), advertising cookies stay off until you accept them. On our English-language pages, they are on by default and you can turn them off at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of each page. The form provided by LeadScout may use technical storage it needs to work.
7. Where your information is processed
Some of our service providers (such as hosting and advertising platforms) may store or process information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States. When this happens, we take reasonable measures so that your information receives adequate protection, as required by Quebec law.
8. Your rights
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw your consent, ask us to stop disseminating it or to de-index it, and ask for a copy in a structured, commonly used technological format. Contact our privacy officer (section 10). We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (Quebec residents) or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To stop hearing from a lender or professional who contacted you, you can also tell them directly or use the unsubscribe option in their messages.
9. Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then destroy or anonymize it. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information as required by law.
